Classes group UQAFs that are part of a multi-stream unit delivery.

A class can be created either manually via the Classes menu or automatically via a UQAF

Creating a class

Manually via the Classes Menu

To create a new class manually, go to the Classes menu under UQAFs (https://moderation.actheology.edu.au/uqafs/Classes/)

Select the fields Unit, Delivery Location, Language of Delivery, Census Date, and Multi-streamed.

The Class name is composed of the Class Code and Class Suffix:

  • Class Code: Automatically set as Delivery Location_Census Date_Base Unit Code(_Chinese).
  • Class Suffix: Can be manually set to best reflect or distinguish the class.

Automatically via a UQAF

Select the fields Unit, Delivery Location, Language of Delivery, Census Date, and Multi-streamed.

  1. The “Create New Class” button will appear.
  2. Based on the data, the Class Code is set, and you can add a Class Suffix.
  3. Click Create Now.
  4. Once the Class is created, select the newly created Class.

Editing Classes

A Class can be deactivated, if the UQAF count is 0.

A Class can be edited before the Census Date is reached. To edit a class, click on Edit.

The fields ACT Base Unit, Delivery Location, Census Date and Class Suffix can be edited until an associated UQAF has a UQAF status of Scheduled on Paradigm.

For Set Text (exegesis) units taught both in English and Greek/Hebrew, use the combined Base Unit code (e.g. OT058/OT059). When the Class is created automatically via a UQAF, the Class needs to be manually edited to use the combined Base Unit code.

  • UQAFs can be associated or disassociated from the Class.
  • The compliance field in the Checks section is automatically set depended on the count of the AQF level units and Categories.
  • Checks run automatically every hour. To trigger a re-calculation of the checks, click on the button Refresh Checks Now.
  • If a Class is non-compliant, the field “non-compliance reason” will display why the system set the Class as non-compliant.
  • Colleges can overwrite the compliance and must provide a reason for overwriting.

Class Name on Paradigm

When a UQAF is scheduled on Paradigm, the Class name will be written into the read-only "internal comment' field of the Scheduled Unit.

UQAFs in non-compliant Classes

If the status of UQAF is "Ready to be scheduled on Paradigm" but the Class Compliance status is set to "No", the UQAF cannot be selected for scheduling on Paradigm. Non-compliant UQAFs are listed in a separate table:
