Sign into the Moderation Portal and open the page 'New UQAF'.

1) Click on the lookup icon on the unit field to select the ACT unit for which you would like to create the UQAF. If a unit is multi-streamed (e.g. Jesus and the Gospels at level 5 - NT001-512 and at level 8 - NT001-812), a separate UQAF is to be created for each level (unit code). Please refer to the article 'How to clone a UQAF' to save time.

When searching for an ACT unit, remember to use an asterisk (*) to find records, e.g. to find all unit codes with '200' in the unit code, search for *200.

2) Select an ACT Unit by ticking the box next to the unit (you can only select one per UQAF).

3) Click on Select.

4) Complete the form. Required fields are marked with a red asterisk.

Refer to the article 'Required fields and data validation' for the validation logic behind fields.

Depended on the ACT unit selected in step 1 (coursework or project), the form shows or hides the relevant fields and sections based on the ACT unit code, e.g. if the a unit with *200 code is selected (Project), the form reconfigures to show project relevant fields and hides the fields for assessment methods 2-5.

5) Upon saving the new UQAF form, it is automatically saved for internal checking. The field 'select an internal UQAF checker' is a required field. Click on the lookup icon and select a user at your college. The UQAF creator can also be the UQAF checker. The UQAF checker (if different from UQAF creator) will receive an email notification with a link to a list of saved UQAFs.

No attachment is required at this stage, but a document (e.g. Unit Outline that describes the assessment tasks and dates as well as the bibliography) will need to be attached prior to submission on the UQAF checking form.

However, it is recommended to add an internal link to the attachment so the UQAF checker can review the document that is to be attached.

Click on 'Save for internal check'. The UQAF progresses to the next stage 'UQAF check' (https://moderation.actheology.edu.au/uqafs/check_uqafs/).
