Overview

If you're trying to access a Jotform link (e.g., to view or complete a task) and encounter an "Unauthorised Access" message, it may be due to account conflicts or browser session issues. This article outlines common causes and solutions to help you access the form successfully.

Common Causes

  • Signed in with a different Jotform account: You may be logged into Jotform with an account that doesn't have permission to view the form.
  • Session conflicts: Your browser may be storing login sessions that interfere with access.
  • Form access settings: The form owner may have restricted access to specific users or domains.

Recommended Solutions

  1. Use an Incognito or Private Browser Window
    • Open the link in an incognito/private window to bypass any saved login sessions:
      • Chrome/Edge: Ctrl+Shift+N (Windows) or ⌘+Shift+N (Mac)
      • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P (Windows) or ⌘+Shift+P (Mac)

This ensures you're not automatically signed in with a conflicting account.

        2. Sign Out of Other Jotform Accounts

If you're signed in to a Jotform account (e.g., a work or organizational account), sign out before clicking the link:

  • Go to Jotform.com
  • Click your profile icon and select Log Out
  • Then, click the shared link again

        3. Confirm Access Permissions with the Form Owner

If the issue persists, contact the person who sent you the link and ask:

  • Is the form set to "Public" or "Private"?
  • Is access restricted to specific email domains or accounts?

They may need to adjust the form’s sharing settings to allow access.

Tip

If you're supporting a request (e.g., credit transfer, approval, etc.) and can't access the form, you can still reply via email to support@aut.edu.au confirm your support while the access issue is being resolved.
