We’ve had reports that some users are seeing a Microsoft sign-in prompt instead of the embedded Excel tools in our Knowledgebase articles or on the Moderation Portal.

This issue occurs because Edge and Chrome block third-party cookies by default. Our embedded Excel tools rely on Microsoft services that require these cookies to display properly.

How to Fix

  1. Click on the eye icon in the right hand corner of the URL bar - 'Third-party cookies blocked'.
  2. Click on Enable
  3. Refresh the page

Alternative ways to fix it:

In Microsoft Edge

  1. Open the menu ( in the top-right corner).

  2. Go to Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data.

  3. Turn off the setting “Block third-party cookies”.

  4. Refresh the Knowledgebase page.

In Google Chrome

  1. Open the menu ( in the top-right corner).

  2. Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data.

  3. Under General settings, select “Allow all cookies” or turn off “Block third-party cookies.”

  4. Refresh the Knowledgebase page.

In Mozilla Firefox

Firefox allows the embedded Excel tools to display by default. No changes are required.

Note: If you have enabled “Strict” Tracking Protection or manually blocked third-party cookies, you may also see the Microsoft sign-in prompt. In that case, switch back to “Standard” or allow third-party cookies for australiancollegeoftheology.sharepoint.com.

Tested Browsers
